Swap Shout Out...

Hey ya'll- do you like to sew? Like to sew cloth dolls? I know YOU do! And I'll call you out too *giggles*
If you like to sew Raggedy Annies or other Whim/Prim/Country/Folk/Grubby cloth dolls... Then there's a simple but great idea of a swap out there. Even if you've never done one before- there's always a first time and I guarantee you- once you try one- you'll be hooked. *whispers* Just ask Aunt Pitty Pat.

Diana of Down Hidden Farm Lane is hosting this "Nakie Dolly Swap."

The deal is- you sew up a cloth doll body, limbs and head. All attached. THAT'S IT! Hence the name "nakie". You'll send it to your swap partner AS IS and they will create a "finished" doll with the body you sewed up. Ain't that a great idea? I think so too! You'll have a body sewn up by someone else and you get to make the face, do her hair, dress it up and embellish to your hearts content. I'm in! Are you?
Click on the link I provided above and send Diana an email and provide the information she asks and just wait for details on the rest.

I'm looking forward to this swap!

Some links to free Annie patterns.
REMEMBER this swap is for the complete body not the finished doll. I thought it would be helpful if I provided some links on doll body patterns.

Annies Cupboard: scroll down and you'll see a couple of patterns available for download. You'll need Adobe Reader to access the file.

15" Pattern: I know the swap details are minimum 8 inches and maximum 14 inches. You can simply trim the torso and legs to shorten the overall length.

This swap sounds like lots of fun. But I better not. I know I'm gonna wish I had, though.
